No job is too small to mention. I recently started working for Your Man In Berlin, a Swedish travel agency situated here. They specialise in arranging group trips to Berlin for companies and school classes. My job is to make sure the groups get to their hotels safe and sound.
Since I came to Berlin to live in 2013 I figured working in tourism might be “my thing”. Back then I didn’t find any jobs or way into the business, and I soon forgot about it.
In Mars of this year I saw an ad for “meet-and-greeters” and I jumped at the chance. It’s fun to help people, and I enjoy telling them about my big love – the city of Berlin.
Who knows, this might be something that can grow into a full-blown guiding business for me. I think that might be right up my alley.
