K&K Petfood – A New Chapter

In March this year I found a new employer – and how lucky was I! K&K Petfood, with offices in Hennigsdorf and Perleberg (Brandenburg), has given me a chance to learn new things and be part of a team again.

Never did I see myself working in the pet food industry. First of all, I’m a vegetarian, second of all – I love animals. However, if you have a pet you love, you have to feed it properly. Both cats and dogs would eat raw meat in the wild. Especially cats. They eat birds, mice, rats, and other small animals.

So yes, there is an abattoir. And that made me hesitant, but it’s in Perleberg. I wouldn’t be able to handle seeing or hearing the animals on a daily basis. No no. But regardless of what we feel about that, our pets need nutritious and healthy food. That’s what K&K Petfood stands for. And, honestly, my cat Spira would have loved it.

What My Role As Online Marketing Manager Entails

My tasks are mainly creating newsletters in seven languages, for two different brands, eBarf and Frostfutter Perleberg. Except for English and Swedish, I also translate into French, Italian, Dutch, and sometimes Spanish. Besides newsletters, I am responsible for changing prices in the shops when we have discounts, and I create sliders, popups, and similar web elements.

BARF: If you are interested in barfing, i. e. raw feeding, or just in very good animal food, you can read more here. Yeah, I know. Not the best choice of term, but it’s short for Biologically species-Appropriate Raw Feeding.

Now, that doesn’t sound too bad, does it?
